PM to Push for a Further Rolling-Out of the National Vaccination Campaign

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has recommended measures to arrange for the screening and delivery of Covid-19 vaccines to Cambodians who need to get vaccinated.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Cambodia-China Friendship Preah Kosamak Hospital in Phnom Penh on Monday, 21 March, Prime Minister Hun Sen confirmed the ongoing roll-out of the Cambodian vaccination campaign and announced the further adoption of vaccines from allied countries to Cambodia.

He ordered for the study of moving the vaccination plan forward even more to reach those who are at the right age for vaccination, in order to be able to sustain socioeconomic activities within the country because it is not known when Covid-19 will disappear in Cambodia.

Currently, the Royal Government of Cambodia allows vaccinations for children aged 3 years and above. As of Monday, 21 March 2022, more than 92% of the total population of 16 million in Cambodia have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
